Occupancy

Occupancy is limited to a maximum of 6 persons. The unit will not be rented to anyone under 25 years of age. If it is concluded that this policy has been breached, Powder Horn reserves the right to expel the entire party without refund.

How many parking spots are on site?

There are two parking spots included on site, with the reservation rate including two vehicles. 

Are pets permitted?

No pets allowed anywhere onsite of 1M, including the yard. If it is determined that pets enter the rental at any point, the renter may face eviction and forfeit of deposit.

Is smoking permitted?

We do not allow smoking of any kind in the rental unit. This includes cigarettes, cigars, e-cigarettes, and any others that have not been listed. If it is determined that smoking has taken place, the $200 security deposit will be kept, and the renter may face a potential further charge to rectify any smoking related issues.

Can I reserve the cabin for someone else?

The renter may not sublet or assign the rental agreement for all or any part of the premises. Reservations are subject to cancellations without refund if we find the reservation holder is not present on site for the duration of the stay.

How do I check out?

You must check out no later than 11:00 AM. All trash must be emptied into the garbage dumpster. All food items must be removed from the refrigerator, pantry and cabinets and disposed of properly. Check out with the office staff and return all keys.

Is a security deposit required?

Powder Horn Family Camping Resort will charge a $200 security deposit at check in. This amount will be returned to the card that was originally charged after a manager on duty performs a walk-through of the unit and determines there is no damage. Powder Horn Family Camping Resort reserves the right to charge occupants the cost of rectifying damage caused by accidental or deliberate acts of the guest to the rental unit’s property or structure if the assessed damage surpasses $200. The renter must agree to pay for any damages to furnishings or household items that occur as a result of their occupancy.

What happens if I need to change my dates or cancel my reservation?

The cancellation policy is as follows: Cancellations processed with 30 or more days prior to arrival date and time will receive a refund (minus a $75 fee) onto the payment account which was used for the deposit. Any cancellations made less than 30 days prior to arrival date and time are not eligible for a refund, and all deposits will be forfeited. All cancellations must be submitted by the reservation holder, regardless of who made the reservation. All cancellations must be submitted via the cancellation request form on our website. Failure to check-in on the scheduled arrival date, without notice, will forfeit your site and deposit as of 11AM the following day. Please refer to our date change policy for more information.
